Stay moving. We humans are meant to be active. Whether it's walking to work, chasing out kids, dancing on a Friday night or training for a marathon in San Diego, I am committed to helping my patients move. But sometimes our aching knees, back and shoulders need some attention. I believe in treating sprains and sore muscles aggressively so that you can take advantage of all the ways your body can make you happy. Whether that involves medications, physical therapy or an integrative approach, I will bend over backwards, as much as my back will allow, to help keep you active.
Breathe Easy. Life can be hard sometimes, but we humans are resistant. For those times when we feel stress is affecting our lives and our health, because it always does, I am devoted to helping you find the resources to help you bounce back. We all deserve to breathe easy.
Eat Well. It can be confusing what to feed our bodies, especially with all the choices today. Keeping it simple helps. For example, I recommend cooking your own food as much as possible and eating it slowly to let yourself recognize when you are full. Don't recognize most of the ingredients on a food label? Skip it and go for a piece of fruit instead. Let's talk more about this in person; I believe in educating my patients on different ways to eat and live well.
