Everyone has their skin care secrets. Many patients tell me that Cocoa Butter helps keep skin feeling great before, during and after pregnancy (for men too). Patients seem to really love body pillows during pregnancy. Haven't used myself, but this sure seems comfy! Let me know you think!
Prenatal Vitamins--a MUST
I recommend a good prenatal vitamin from a trusted source during pregnancy AND before you know you're pregnant. Also, if you're having sex without birth control, you are officially "pre-pregnant" and should also take a prenatal vitamin! Helping Seasonal Allergies
Seasonal Allergies can be a real pain. Many patients find relief with the Neti Pot. This device helps flush out your sinuses of allergens (pollen, dust, etc). It feels odd at first. In fact, very odd. However, for patients who can tolerate the sensation, the Neti Pot can be a powerful, drug-free method of keeping allergies controlled. Always use clean, new water and the salt packets.
Cream for Sore Muscles
Topical agents like Tiger Balm and Salon Pas patches can provide considerable temporary relief for sore muscles. The relief does not last more than an hour or two, but that can feel like a lifetime with a sore shoulder. An aggressive approach to recovery for joint and back pain related to muscle causes (as diagnosed by a physician) often includes medication, topical therapy, stretches and sometimes physical therapy. Back Massager For Sore Muscles
